Ripley Vex IQ Tournament
Our team spent the day after our home tournament volunteering at the first ever VEX IQ State Qualifier! We, along with VEX, believe that elementary and middle school is a very important time of development in a student's life. This is why we choose to volunteer, so that we can help shape a child's life through our love of robotics. Through our VEX IQ tournament, we were also able to spark interest in starting an IQ team within our own town!
Wahama Demonstration
Our Community
Our team was featured in Ripley's Fourth of July Parade, known as "America's Largest Small-Town Independence Celebration"
Educational Summit
Our team was invited to attend and present at the Education Summit in Charleston, West Virginia and showcased our robot in the Student Expo. Throughout this student-centered initiative, our students were required to be innovative thinkers and problem solvers, and our robot was presented on a mini-field.
Members and faculty of Wahama High School visited our school to explore the VEX Robotics program. We demonstrated how robotics works, as well as the importance of the program. We hope through programs like this we can spread the growth of STEM related paths throughout the state of West Virginia.
